Regional & Dance of the Champion Events - SOLO

 

001 - Babies Novice Solo: This category is for dancers who are aged 6years or under on Jan 1st 2025. This category is for dancers who have never won their category. Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap.

 

002 - Babies Elite Solo: This category is for dancers who are aged 6years or under on Jan 1st 2025. This category is for dancers who have already won their category. Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap.

 

003 - Mini Novice Solo: This category is for dancers who are aged 8years or under on Jan 1st 2025. This category is for dancers who have never won their category. Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap.

 

004 - Mini Elite Solo: This category is for dancers who are aged 8years or under on Jan 1st 2025. This category is for dancers who have already won their category. Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap.

 

005 - Petite Novice Solo: This category is for dancers who are aged 10years or under on Jan 1st 2025. This category is for dancers & singers who have never won their category. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Student Choreography, Tap. Vocal Styles include Music Theatre, Pop/Rock, Own Choice.

 

014 - Senior Pre Professional Solo: This category is for dancers & singers who are aged 15years or over on Jan 1st 2025 and are currently at full time or completing a certificate dance/performing course. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Student Choreography, Tap. Vocal Styles include Music Theatre, Pop/Rock, Own Choice.

 

040 - Dancers & Singers with Disabilities Solo: This inclusive category is for dancers and singers who are any age and are living with disability. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Student Choreography, Tap. Vocal Styles include Music Theatre, Own Choice, Pop/Rock. Please email magnitudedanceaus@gmail.com if you require wheelchair access to the stage area or a sensory relaxed environment for your performance so we can do our best to accomodate your needs.

020 - Pre Professional Improvisation Solo: This category is for dancers who are aged 13years or over on Jan 1st 2025 and are currently at full time or completing a certificate dance/performance course. Improvisation Styles include Ballet, Jazz/Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap.

045 - Dancers with Disabilities Improvisation Solo: This inclusive category is for dancers who are any age and are living with disability. Improvisation Styles include Ballet, Jazz/Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap.

Vocal Age Divisions include Junior 12/u, Teen 14/u, Senior 15/o. 

 

022 - Elite Duo/Trio Any Style: This category is any style. Ages for these events are taken as at the oldest member on Jan 1st 2025. This category is for dancers & singers who have already won their category. Dance Age Divisions include: Mini 8/u, Petite 10/u, Junior 12/u, Teen 14/u, Senior 15/o, Pre Prof Teen, Pre Prof Senior. Vocal Age Divisions include Junior 12/u, Teen 14/u, Senior 15/o, Pre Prof Teen, Pre Prof Senior.

Regional Events - DUO/TRIO IMPROVISATION

 

023 - Improvisation Duo/Trio Modern: This duo/trio improv will be in the modern style of lyrical/contemporary. Ages for these events are taken as at the oldest member on Jan 1st 2025. Age Divisions include: Mini 8/u, Petite 10/u, Junior 12/u, Teen 14/u, Senior 15/o, Pre Prof Teen, Pre Prof Senior. 

 

024 - Improvisation Duo/Trio Jazz/Hip Hop: This duo/trio improv will be in the style of jazz/hip hop. Ages for these events are taken as at the oldest member on Jan 1st 2025. Age Divisions include: Mini 8/u, Petite 10/u, Junior 12/u, Teen 14/u, Senior 15/o, Pre Prof Teen, Pre Prof Senior.

Regional & Dance of the Champion Events - TITLE SCHOLARSHIPS

 

042 - Baby Magnitude Title: 

The Dance of the Champions Title Event is open to Elite Level Soloists aged 6yrs or under as of Jan 1st 2025, who also perform in at least 2x Elite Solo Events at DOTC. One solo dance must be performed to compete for the Title of DOTC Baby Magnitude. This dance routine cannot be a repeat and can be any solo dance style.

The Regional Title Event is open to Elite Level Soloists aged 6yrs or under as of Jan 1st 2025, who have also entered in at least 1x Elite Solo + 1x Improvisation. Regional dancers must also take part in at least 1x free Magnitude workshop to qualify for the Title. One solo dance must be performed to compete for the Title of Baby Magnitude, which comes with a Scholarship Prize. This dance routine cannot be a repeat and can be any solo dance style. 

 

025 - Mini Magnitude Title: 

The Dance of the Champions Title Event is open to Elite Level Soloists aged 8yrs or under as of Jan 1st 2025, who also perform in at least 2x Elite Solo Events at DOTC. One solo dance must be performed to compete for the Title of DOTC Mini Magnitude. This dance routine cannot be a repeat and can be any solo dance style.

The Regional Title Event is open to Elite Level Soloists aged 8yrs or under as of Jan 1st 2025, who have also entered in at least 1x Elite Solo + 1x Improvisation. Regional dancers must also take part in at least 1x free Magnitude workshop to qualify for the Title. One solo dance must be performed to compete for the Title of Mini Magnitude, which comes with a Scholarship Prize. This dance routine cannot be a repeat and can be any solo dance style. 

 

026 - Petite Magnitude Title:

One solo dance must be performed to compete for the Title of DOTC Petite Magnitude. This dance routine cannot be a repeat and can be any solo dance style.

One solo dance must be performed to compete for the Title of DOTC Pre Professional Magnitude. This dance routine cannot be a repeat and can be any solo dance style.

The Regional Title Event is to open to Pre Professional Level Soloists who have also entered in at least 1x Elite Solo + 1x Improvisation. Regional dancers must also take part in at least 1x free Magnitude workshop to qualify for the Title. One solo dance must be performed to compete for the Title of Pre Professional Magnitude, which comes with a Scholarship Prize. This dance routine cannot be a repeat and can be any solo dance style.

036 - Pre Professional Small Group: This Small Group Event is open to 4-12 dancers per routine in which the majority of performers are at full time or completing a certificate dance/performance course. Each studio may enter up to 2x small group routines in the PP Category. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap - Magnitude will request the Dance Style, Routine Name & Number of Dancers 1month prior to DOTC.

038 - Novice Large Group Any Age: This Large Group Event is open to Novice Groups of 13-30 dancers per routine. There are no age limits or restrictions for the event. This event is for groups who have never won their category and is not open to full timers. Each studio may enter up to 2x large group routines in the Novice Category. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap - Magnitude will request the Dance Style, Routine Name & Number of Dancers 1month prior to DOTC.

039B - Senior Large Group Any Age: This Large Group Event is open to 13-30 dancers per routine whose average age is 13yrs or over as of Dec 31st 2024. Each studio may enter up to 2x large group routines per age. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap - Magnitude will request the Dance Style, Routine Name & Number of Dancers 1month prior to DOTC.

 

043 - X-Large Group Any Age: This Large Group Event is open to Extra Large Groups of 31-50 dancers or singers per routine. There are no age limits or level restrictions for the event. Each studio may enter up to 2x X-large group routines in the X-Large Group Category. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap - Magnitude will request the Dance Style, Routine Name & Number of Dancers 1month prior to DOTC.

!!!NEW!!! 100 - Group TITLES: This Title Group Event is open to Studios who perform in any 2x Group Categories at DOTC. Group Title Categories are Junior Small, Junior Large, Senior Small & Senior Large. Age is average of Dec 31st 2024. Each studio may enter 1x title group routine per category e.g. 1x Junior Small, 1x Junior Large, 1x Senior Small & 1x Senior Large. Dances can be any style but CANNOT BE A REPEAT. Magnitude will request the Dance Style, Routine Name & Number of Dancers 1month prior to DOTC. Winners & Runner-Ups of this Event receive Cash/Scholarship Prizes.

Each studio may enter up to 2x small group routines per style per age group. This event is not open to dancers/singers at full time. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap. Vocal Styles include Music Theatre, Own Choice, Pop/Rock. 

 

035 - Senior Small Group: This Small Group Event is open to 4-12 dancers or singers per routine whose average age is 15yrs or over as of Dec 31st 2024. Each studio may enter up to 2x small group routines per style per age group. This event is not open to dancers/singers at full time. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap. Vocal Styles include Music Theatre, Own Choice, Pop/Rock.

038 - Novice Large Group Any Age: This Large Group Event is open to Novice Groups of 13-30 dancers or singers per routine. There are no age limits or restrictions for the event. This event is for groups who have never won their category and is not open to full timers. Each studio may enter up to 2x small group routines per style. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap. Vocal Styles include Music Theatre, Own Choice, Pop/Rock. This event will be split into age categories pending entries.

039 - Elite Large Group Any Age: This Large Group Event is open to Elite Groups of 13-30 dancers or singers per routine. There are no age limits or restrictions for the event. This event is for groups who have already won their category. Each studio may enter up to 2x small group routines per style. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap. Vocal Styles include Music Theatre, Own Choice, Pop/Rock. This event will be split into age categories pending entries.

 

043 - Extra Large Group Any Age: This Large Group Event is open to Extra Large Groups of 31-50 dancers or singers per routine. There are no age limits or level restrictions for the event. Each studio may enter up to 2x extra large group routines per age, per level, per style. Dance Styles include Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Dancers with Disabilities, Demi Character, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Tap. Vocal Styles include Music Theatre, Own Choice, Pop/Rock. Where needed, categories will be split into age and level ie Novice Junior or Elite Teen.

SOLO TITLES - Special Conditions

​​

  1. To qualify for a Regional Title, dancers must compete in at least 1x Elite Solo event + at least 1x Improvisation Solo event + participate in the Workshop. No exceptions. 

  2. To qualify for a Dance of the Champions Title, dancers must compete in at least 2x Elite Solo events of contrasting styles. No exceptions. 

  3. Title routines may not be repeated, however can be any dance style. No exceptions.

  4. If a dancer forgets their title routine they may perform again at the end of the session for comments only, not for prizes. No exceptions.

  5. There will be 1x Title Winner, 1x 1st Runner Up & 1x 2nd Runner Up for each Title Age. These prizes are of monetary and/or scholarship value. These prizes are non-transferable. 

  6. Regional Title performers in Teens, Seniors & Pre-Professional Categories will be given 10mins stage time, as a group, to block their routines prior to the session commencing. 1x teacher permitted on the stage space per student during this time. Please note this is at the discretion of the competition and kindness of the judges. If you miss your session you forfeit your blocking stage time. No exceptions. 

  7. Title holders and 1st Runner Ups qualify for State Champs held the following year.

Styles & Categories

​​

  1. NOVICE refers to a performer who has never won in that style. See our FAQ.

  2. ELITE refers to a performer who has already won in that style.

  3. PRE PROFESSIONAL refers to a performer who is currently, or has studied, a full time or certificate dance course. 

  4. BABIES - performers aged 6yrs/under. Minimum age should be determined by the teacher/parent. As a guide, Magnitude recommends 3yrs+ for performances & 5yrs+ for workshops. 

  5. MINI - performers aged 8yrs/under.

  6. PETITE - performers aged 9-10yrs,

  7. JUNIOR - performers aged 11-12yrs.

  8. TEEN - performers aged 13-14yrs.

  9. SENIORS - performers aged 15yrs/over.

 

DANCE -

  • Student Choreography refers to a routine that has been self choreographed by the performer. 

  • Improvisation refers to a fully impromptu routine inspired by the genre and music offered as stimuli. 

  • Lyrical refers to story based modern genre.

  • Contemporary refers to abstract based modern genre.

  • Ballet refers to traditional, romantic and /or neo classical. Pointe work is only permitted for dancers aged 12yrs and above at teacher's discretion. 

  • Jazz refers to traditional, street, junk or theatrical aerobic energetic movements.

  • Hip Hop refers to break, popping, vogueing, groove etc to Hip Hop music. 

  • Tap refers to any style of dance performed in tap shoes e.g. slow, speed, waltz. 

  • Demi Character refers to a story based performance featuring classical technique.

  • Musical Theatre refers to any song choice from a stage or film musical. Lip syncing is permitted.

  • Song & Dance refers to a routine that includes live singing from the performer/s combined with dance movements.

  • Acrobatics refers to a routine that primarily displays circus, gymnastic and/or tumbling skills. This can include contortion and balance work. We do not not have any rigging for aerial silks etc. so this event is for ground based apparatus and/or skills.

 

VOCAL -​

  • ​Musical Theatre refers to any song from a stage or film musical.

  • Pop/Rock refers to any song from the popular culture, rock & roll, or 'charts' music.

  • Own Choice refers to any song in any genre, including original works.

COVID-19

 

Magnitude Dance Australia is committed to keeping you safe. Any current government guidelines and/or restrictions relating to COVID-19 will be strictly adhered to. In the unlikely event of postponement due to lockdown etc, Magnitude Dance will go ahead at the earliest, safest time possible. Credits will be offered to all participants. Refunds will be provided to those unable to attend the rescheduled event.

Any person who tests positive, is in isolation or quarantine due to COVID-19 may not attend Magnitude Dance Australia. Any competitors who are unable to attend must provide proof in the form of a PCR test result or doctors certificate to Magnitude Dance Australia prior to the event. This will result in credit and/or refund. Refunds/credits are not offered due to any other illnesses or injuries. The Magnitude Dance Australia team reserve the right to alter events to suit any updated health guidelines. We are committed to keeping you safe and keeping Magnitude epic!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • All 2025 DOTC entries open on March 2nd 2025 for SOLOS/DUOS/TRIOS/TITLES/GROUPS and close one month before the event start date or when events are full. ​​​
  • Performers are not considered Registered or Entered into an event until Full Payment has been made and received to Magnitude Dance Australia. 

  • Late entries will be accepted (if numbers permit) with an additional late fee of $20 per solo and duo/trio event and $25 per group event. Late entry enquiries must be emailed to magnitudedanceaus@gmail.com with the subject line LATE ENTRY. Late entries close 10 days before the event start date. There may be space for late-late entries on the day of the event. Please check with the team at the Registration Desk. These late-late entries will incur an on-the-day fee of $40 per event (Titles not included).

  • All entry fees are final. Refunds are not offered for mistakes or change of mind. If the error is on behalf of Magnitude Dance we will accommodate necessary changes. The desire to alter an entry will incur an additional alteration fee of $10 per entry once the draft program has been distributed and $15 per entry once the official program is being created by our design team partners. Once the final program is distributed, there is a $20 alteration fee per entry to allow for re-distribution. Visit FAQs for Entry Fees. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CART / ENTRIES BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE CHECKOUT TO ENSURE NO ERRORS ARE MADE.

  • All entrants will receive their program in the form of a digital file via email. The cost of the program is $15 and included in your Registration Fee. 

  • Audience Admission Tickets for the Dance of the Champions can be purchased through the Laycock St Theatre Box Office from June 1st 2025. Tickets are non-transferable. Patrons found to be swapping tickets will be asked to leave and their affiliated performers will be automatically disqualified from all Magnitude events during that season. Doors open up to 30mins prior to each session for ticket sales. Cash and card are accepted at the event. Please visit Laycock St Theatre & FAQs for prices.

  • Age for all 2025 solo competitors is as of Jan 1st 2025. Age for all 2025 duo/trio competitors is as of the oldest member's age on Jan 1st 2025.

  • Age for all 2025 groups is average age as of Dec 31st 2024. Please ensure you have proof of age with you at the event in case clarification is required. There is no upper age for competitors at Magnitude Dance Australia.

  1. All performers compete and perform at their own risk. In relation to all persons present at the competition, Magnitude Dance Australia takes zero responsibility for any injuries, unfortunate accidents, stolen, damaged or lost property throughout the duration of Magnitude Dance Australia.

  2. Magnitude Dance Australia is a competition for non-professional performers/teachers. Any professionals may perform for adjudication only but not compete for prizes. Any performer who is currently studying a full time performing course or certified certificate e.g. Cert III, or who has graduated from or participated in a full time or a course in the past must only enter into Pre Professional Categories. Any uncertainties or enquiries please contact team Magnitude. 

  3. Magnitude Dance Australia reserves the right to combine or alter events if necessary. 

  4. If a competitor has had any form of training, coaching etc from the Judges in the last 12months they may perform for comments only and not compete for prizes.

  5. In the unfortunate event that a performer forgets or cannot complete their routine, they may perform again at the end of the session if they choose. Novice performers may still compete for prizes; Elite performers for comments only. All performers would still be considered for special awards e.g. costume award. We want Magnitude to inspire fun and confidence in a safe, supportive environment for all. The decision to perform again is entirely the performer's, with the support of their teachers and the team at Magnitude. We are here to help you have a great experience! 

  6. Any person present at Magnitude who is found to approach the judges, converse with the judges or walk in front of the judges will immediately risk disqualification for themselves and their studio. Please do not distract or disrupt the judges for any reason whatsoever. The only exception is during the Dance Workshop when dancers are taught by the judges and may consequently interact with them. Any discussion regarding the competition side of Magnitude during the Workshop e.g. bribery will result in disqualification. As with all our rules, we take this rule VERY seriously at Magnitude Dance and thank you for obliging. 

  7. Any people displaying inappropriate behaviour and/or language will be asked to leave immediately and instantly disqualified from Magnitude Dance Australia indefinitely. This includes negative comments about other performers or studios, verbal abuse to the Magnitude Dance team and/or volunteers, and any negativity surrounding the judges and awards. Teachers or directors displaying this behaviour will immediately disqualify their studio. This includes online behaviour e.g. on Instagram. The Magnitude team and volunteers agree to adhere to this rule as well. Magnitude Dance Australia reserves the right to deem what is inappropriate behaviours/language and reserves the right to request people leave. Please ensure all persons attending the competition are aware of this rule as we take it extremely seriously.

  8. All Regional competing performers, including group members, are encouraged to participate in the Magnitude Regional Dance Workshops offered free of charge to performers by the Magnitude team. Cost for non-performers to participate is $20* for a single workshop pass and $30* for a double workshop pass - please contact us to register. *$20 & $30 is the pre-registration price for online purchase. If you pay on the day at the event, the cost is $30 for a single pass and $40 for a double pass. 

  9. The judges' decisions are FINAL. Any complaints, protests or inquiries must be submitted in writing to Magnitude Dance Australia. Submit these to the Registration Desk accompanied with the non-refundable $60 Protest Fee following the associated awards ceremony. We will get back to you within 24hours with a follow up from the Magnitude judges and team.

  10. Magnitude Dance should not be held responsible for any comments/critiques made by the judges. Whilst Magnitude takes pride in employing highly esteemed, professional judges, Magnitude Dance is not affiliated with the judges behaviours, opinions or attitudes in any way, shape or form. 

  11. All competitors are considered for all prizes in their corresponding performance session unless disqualified or performing for comments only. Please note that if a performer qualifies for more than one Overall High Score Award per session, they will receive their award for their highest scoring performance in that category only. This allows many deserving performers the opportunity to be acknowledged appropriately. Magnitude loves encouraging talent!

  12. Due to child protection rights and music licensing laws, there is strictly ZERO tolerance for personal videography or photography of performances whilst in the auditorium at Magnitude Dance. Personal photos may be taken at the media wall and backstage, however not during performances UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Please seek permission from the persons being photographed prior to capturing them on camera. This includes backstage crew/volunteers. 

  13. We like to keep Magnitude as a no-device zone. Performing is a live experience, so please do not use your devices whilst someone is performing. If you need to use your device, please kindly exit the auditorium to do so. Thank you for your co-operation and respect.

  14. Music is to be submitted by the cut off date (one week prior to event start date) through our online music portal. Entrants will receive access to the portal once entries close. Back up music can be supplied on the day, at the event, in the form of a USB. All music is to be clearly labelled with the Entrant Name, Entrant Number, and whether you start ON / OFF stage. Files on USBs are to be CLEARLY LABELLED with entrant name, entrant number & entrant category e.g. 35. Mary Jane - Petite Elite Lyrical Solo. Music is to be submitted at the start of your session time, which will be clearly stated in your Program. Please collect your music at the end of your session; any left music will be discarded at the end of the competition. Back up music is only accepted via email on the day if USBs do not work. 

  15. Time limits for performances include your set up/pack up/entrance/exit time. If you have a lot of set piece/props please consider this before your performance. For ALL Babies, Mini & Petite DANCE & VOCAL Solos, Duos/Trios = 2.5mins stage time. For ALL Junior, Teen & Senior & Pre-Professional DANCE & VOCAL Solos, Duos/Trios = 3mins stage time.  For ALL DANCE & VOCAL Small Groups = 4mins stage time. For ALL DANCE & VOCAL Large & Extra-Large Groups = 5mins stage time. Once the time limit has been exceeded, points will be deducted in the following way: 1-5seconds overtime = .5point deduction, 6-10seconds overtime = additional 1point deduction, 11-15seconds overtime = additional 1.5point deduction, 16-20seconds overtime = additional 2point deduction, 21seconds+ overtime = your music will be stopped and adjudication will cease for that performance. Stage time commences when either the performer enters the stage, or the music commences - whichever comes first.

  16. Improvisation music will be maximum of 1min per routine. Improvisation performers in duos/trios will have approximately 30secs to collaborate before their music begins.  

  17. Performers in improvisation events must wear class wear that is not a costume and has zero sparkles/'glam'. We encourage dancers to dress modestly and appropriately in improvisations. 

  18. Performers in improvisation events will hear their music once only, facing the wall backstage, before performing. There are no repeats permitted in the improvisation events. Duo/trio improvisation performers may quietly converse backstage i.e. whisper in collaboration. Any loud discussions that the judges or other entrants can hear will result in deducted marks.

  19. Performers may not perform in categories or age brackets lower than their current level. It is the performer's decision if they choose to compete in categories or age brackets above their current level. No compensations will be made for performers competing up the category. 

  20. Teachers may go backstage with their students if needed so long as they have a current WWCC on hand. Please ensure teachers have current paid NSW WWCC with them at all times.

  21. Parents and general public are asked to refrain from going backstage unless absolutely necessary in extreme circumstances. Public access to bathrooms will be provided to avoid backstage access. All persons attending are to enter and exit via the front administration desk ONLY.

  22. There are to be no backing vocals on music tracks for vocal or song & dance performances.

  23. Vocalists will be provided with a microphone. Please inform us prior to your session if you require a mic stand or hand held mic. Please do not bring your own microphone or amps. 

  24. There is to be no pre-recorded tap sounds on music tracks for tap performances. 

  25. Tap shoes are not permitted in the auditorium hall. Please put your tap shoes on backstage, or wear covers on your taps in the hall. Failure to do this will result in a venue cleaning fee.

  26. There is to be no entering or exiting the auditorium whilst a performance is on. Please wait for the applause. Repeat offenders may have marks deducted from their performances. 

  27. There is to be no entering or exiting to the backstage area whilst a performance is on. Please wait for the applause. Repeat offenders may have marks deducted from their performances. 

  28. Late entries may be accepted on the day if availability and numbers permit for an extra fee. Please enquire at the registration desk prior to the commencement of your session.

  32. Magnitude Dance values age appropriate choreography, costuming and music choices. Please refrain from exploiting children in inappropriate ways for the sake of a prize. The judges and committee at Magnitude Dance hold the right to deem a performance inappropriate and consequently deduct points for the safety of the child/ren. ALL performances, including costumes, music, lyrics & choreography must be 'family entertainment' friendly. Thank you for helping us to keep our minors safe and our industry respectable.

  33. There is to be strictly ZERO changing in the auditorium. Costume changes may ONLY take place in bathrooms & dressing rooms. Performers caught changing outside of the designated dressing rooms will have 5points deducted from their score per offence.
