Magnitude Dance
Magnitude Dance is a friendly, inclusive dance competition with over 200 categories and way too many prizes up for grabs! All ages. All abilities. All styles. All fun! Run by a group of current and ex-professional performers (who work with kids but don't run dance studios - win win!!) this competition focuses on professionalism, support, kindness and providing an environment for the stars of tomorrow to share their talents of today.
Our MCs, judges, crew, and BTS team are all professional performers who absolutely don't love comparing or competing, but absolutely DO love performing and nurturing talent! So that's what Magnitude Dance is all about. Our vibe is next level. We have instant, written feedback from our industry pro judges that always follows fair criteria.
With hundreds of prizes and special awards up for grabs over each event, our adjudication award ceremonies that are held at the end of each session are super exciting - trophies, medals, cash, loot, certificates & even crowns! Everyone comes on stage during the award ceremonies - and everyone receives the awesome acknowledgement they deserve!
As a team, we've ironed out the non-cool things about comps, and fine-tuned all the awesome things about comps into one, BIG experience that is absolutely not to be missed! Like in the US, Magnitude is a convention dance festival - where the 'competition' is secondary to the performance - it's all about the performers and their growth as artists.
We do groups, improvisations, workshops, solos, duos/trios & titles. From 2025 we are introducing Regional Events, State Championships & Dance of the Champions. 2026 will host our first ever Nationals Event! Designated backstage areas allow for a zero fuss environment - that's why teachers love us! Every dancer who competes - that's right, EVERY dancer - is invited to attend one of our amazing Magnitude Workshops live with the judges!
We promise that Magnitude is your new favourite dance event of the year. Designed to run like a showcase concert that welcomes high entertainment value and amazing sportsmanship, Magnitude is the highlight of many young dancers' and singers' year.
